Langkawi SkyCab

Langkawi Cable Car, officially known as Langkawi SkyCab, is located over the Machinchang mountain, which has 550 million years old rock. The total length is 2.2KM and took around 15 minutes from base station to the top.

The cable car may be closed 2-3 days a month for maintenance purposes, but sometimes due to bad weather conditions.
It is advisable to check for its operation calendar before hand, to avoid dissapointment due to closure.
There are 3 stations along the cable car ride:
  1. Base Station
    The base station is located at the Oriental Village.At the Oriental Village, you can enjoy various activities such as
    • 6D cinemotion : Watching 3D movie, seated on a 5D special effect seats.
    • SkyRex : enjoy 5 minutes fun filled journey movie on simulated tram.
    • 3D Art Muzuem : features more than one hundred 3D interactive paintings.
    • SkyDome : offered 360 degrees of 3D image projections.
    • Lake activity : Roller Orb, Orb Ball, Water Bike.

  2. Middle Station
    The Middle Station is at an elevation of 650 meters above sea level, and is the steppest ride along the journey.When the gondola reach middle station, you can choose to walk out and enjoy view of Oriental Village or Pantai Kok at the viewing platform.
    After that, you may continue to travel on the gondola for another 450 meters up to the top station.
  3. Top Station
    Once you reach the Top Station, there are 2 circular viewing platform which offer 360 degree view of langkawi.
    From here, you can proceed to the SkyBridge and there is an entrance fees of RM5.00 for adult and RM3.00 for children in order to access to Sky Bridge.Ticket can be purchased at SkyBridge Ticketing Counter at Top Station.

    • SkyGlide

      - Fast, convenient and comforatable way to reach SkyBridge.
      - RM10 for adult and RM7 for children, for 2-way journey.
    • Jungle Trail

      - It's Free.
      - Take 10 minutes to walk, it's fun but a bit challenging for elderly and children.

Langkawi SkyBridge

The bridge is 125 meters long and it's the longest curved bridge in the world.
It is hanging about 100 meters above the jungle of Machinchang mountain, which suspended by 8 cables to a 81.5 meters high single pylon.
There is a few sections with glass flooring on the bridge, provides a thrilling experiences while standing on it.
